Design Events Calendar live..
September 20/2005
The Design Events calendar is now live and functioning. Post your contest, gallery exhibition, seminar, graphic design opening or other related event. Set up to accept one time and recurring calendar dates. Note - if you post a timed events it will be listed with your local time zone (see user profile to adjust). If the event is in a different time zone than you are, you may have to work out the proper time.. (design events)

By member suggestion (and quite frankly, because we forgot) we've added two new forums in our online resources area - Design Podcasts and Design Blogs. Forum rules finally hashed out..

At least for now (until the next update - this is our fourth) The heart of The Design Cartel was always going to be the forums. And as such, we needed to set up rules and regulations that would, while encouraging freedom and frank discussion, would help us stem the flow of spam, negativity and harassment that can plague boards and forums.. The Design Cartel Network starts to take shape..

We've started to add sites, as well as accept submissions for inclusion. Where to submit your site? Well, that's the funny part. You can't. Yet. Still working on the submission system for the network (though we've been assured by the web guy it will be ready in a few days). Anyway, the network is starting to assemble and at least you can have an idea what we're thinking about.. (network)
Starting to add articles..

Starting to assemble and post some reading material. Granted, the first few efforts are The Design Cartel Manifesto and well as an outline of the site philosophy, but at least it's a start and that LOREM IPSUM stuff is starting to disappear. More articles to come.. (articles)
